IEAD recognized that international lenders were likely to have additional environmental and social requirements beyond those of the local ESHIA. In October 2020, IEAD engaged ERM, an international environmental and social consultant, to ensure that its E&S studies complied with international safeguard policies. These surveys included bird surveys, bat surveys, biodiversity surveys, socio-economic surveys, focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and detailed measurement surveys.
